Now available from Modatek, the YB long length con rod assembly that can be used in conjunction with our Cosworth YB ‘long rod length’ pistons.
These rod assemblies are manufactured by Arrow Precision, a renowned UK-based company who have made connecting rods for Cosworth for decades. Arrow Precision have an enviable reputation for manufacturing the best connecting rods in the world.
These YB long length rods are fully-machined from the highest quality double air re-melted steel. After machining, the rod and cap are shot peened using Arrow’s automated process to increase fatigue strength and durability. Next, the small end of the rod is fitted with a beryllium high strength bush, and the bores are then finish machined to tightly-toleranced dimensions. The rod assemblies are then balanced end over end within a gram into matched engine sets. Lastly, they are then 100% magnaflux crack detected prior to final inspection by CMM in Arrow’s temperature controlled inspection department.
Each connecting rod assembly comes with a pair of ARP 625+ fasteners, and the rod assemblies are boxed into sets with ARP moly and full fitting instructions.
