Description
How would you like an actual Cosworth Formula 1 engine part on your desk or shelf? Well, now you can have a critical part from the Cosworth Formula 1 exhaust system, as we are selling a limited number of genuine exhaust stubs, as used on the Cosworth TJ engines from the 2004 Formula 1 season by Jaguar Racing.
Cosworth TJ Engine
Designed and manufactured initially for Jaguar Racing in 2003, the TJ engine went on to become one of the benchmark engines towards the end of the V10 era, capable of speeds of up to 19,000 rpm with power in excess of 900 bhp.
The TJ was active in Formula 1 for four seasons. In 2004 the engine was raced by both Jaguar Racing and Jordan Grand Prix. The following year, Red Bull Racing took over the Jaguar team and continued to use the TJ. Finally, in 2006, Torro Rosso (formally Minardi) ran the TJ, with the maximum speed restricted to 16,000 rpm to allow then to compete with the newly-introduced V8s.

Cosworth Formula 1 Exhaust System
The exhaust stub was connected onto a primary downpipe, which was manufactured to an exact length specified by Cosworth. On the TJ engine, because of its V10 configuration, there were five downpipes per bank. The opposite ends of the five downpipes were welded into a collector, which then fed the exhaust gases into a secondary pipe and out of the top, sides or rear of the car. The exhaust stub featured a flange with four mounting holes so that it could be clamped to the cylinder head with studs and nuts, sandwiching a gasket that provided the necessary sealing of the hot exhaust gases.
This actual exhaust stub was manufactured for the 2004 Formula 1 season for the Jaguar Racing team, who at the time were running Mark Webber and Christian Klien. As a result, this stub is incredibly rare as it was never used or welded onto the exhaust primary downpipe.
