Description
Developed using the latest technologies and highest quality materials, this Cosworth YD Duratec piston ring pack is designed to meet the demands of modern high performance engines for higher power output, improved sealing, lower friction and longer life.
Each KK3468 Cosworth YD Duratec piston ring pack contains:
- YD0376 top compression rings x 4 (87.5 mm diameter x 0.980 mm thick)
- PR5919 2nd compression rings x 4 (87.5 mm diameter x 1.180 mm)
- YD8007 oil control rings x 4 (87.5 mm diameter x 2.415 mm thick)
The top rings are manufactured from stainless steel and then coated with tungsten carbide carbon on the periphery. This coating helps the ring to perform better, for longer. The 2nd rings are made from a proprietary grade of cast iron, and the oil control rings consist of two separate rails and an expander.
The manufacturing tolerances of the rings in these packs exceed those found in modern-day OEM ring packs. For example, the ring thickness tolerance on the compression rings is just +/- 0.01 mm.
