Description
When Cosworth first started designing, building and supplying race engines in the mid-60s, there were many parts that were swapped between projects. This is especially true for the Cosworth FA0065 exhaust gasket, which was used on their FVA, DFV and BD series engines, in addition to other projects.
We stock genuine Cosworth FA0065 exhaust gaskets in sets of 4, made exclusively for Modatek by one of Cosworth’s OEM-approved gasket manufacturers in the UK. The original material for these gaskets is no longer available, so they are made from a modern-day equivalent for superior sealing called Maglam SFSM. This is the same material that we use for our more recent Cosworth V10 and V8 F1 engines.
The material is is a triple layered composite material consisting of an asbestos-free NBR-bound fibre core, mechanically laminated on both sides with a 0.2mm thick tanged tinplated steel facing. It is rated for continuous use at 600 °C and peak temperatures of 700 °C.
