We currently have for sale a limited edition pewter Cosworth DFX IndyCar V8 model engine, in excellent condition, supplied on it’s original mahogany base and clear Perspex dome case.
The Cosworth DFX engine was a short-stroke, turbocharged version of the iconic DFV for use in CART/Indy racing in the USA. First introduced in the late 1970s, it went on to dominate in CART/IndyCar championships, collecting over 150 race wins including 10 consecutive victories at the Indy 500.
This model was one of a limited number that were produced, and as such it is an incredibly rare and unique item of motorsport memorabilia. The attention to detail of this model is incredible and despite being over 40 years old, the model, base and Perspex case are all in excellent condition.
