*** Now available – a limited edition Cosworth DFV commemorative plaque ***
When the Cosworth DFV engine reached 155 Formula 1 Grand Prix victories in 1982 Cosworth commissioned a limited run of DFV commemorative plaques. The metallic plaques, mounted in wooden frames, were engraved with the iconic cutaway drawing of the DFV engine by technical illustrator Theo Page, along with the complete list of victories dating back to 1967.
Under the illustration of the engine were the following words:
“Presented by Keith Duckworth designer of the DFV engine to commemorate 150 Grand Prix wins with DFV engines manufactured by Cosworth Engineering Ltd. June 1967 to August 1982″.
For added authenticity, Keith Duckworth’s signature was engraved next to this text.
These commemorative plaques were given to Cosworth members of staff and a few VIPs and as such are incredibly rare and unique items of memorabilia.
We now have one of these distinctive plaques for sale. Every plaque was assigned a unique number, and this one is DFV041. The plaque and wooden frame are in excellent condition. We can provide provenance for this plaque on request.
