Description
Back in production by popular demand – the genuine Cosworth YB timing belt made specifically for heavy duty applications. These belts are made exclusively for Cosworth by Gates in Scotland.
Based on the original YB0200 belt, these belts are constructed from highly saturated nitrile rubber composites to ensure durability and heat resistance, combined with nylon fibres to provide extra wear resistance and increased tooth strength. Finally, aramid (similar to Kevlar) reinforcement improves the strength of the belt, making it up to 3 times stronger than a conventional belt. This reinforcement also prevents unwanted elongation.
These materials make this belt ideal for high performance applications in tough environments. For instance, these belts are more resistant to stone chips, which could otherwise create nicks from which the belt could break.
The belt is the same black colour as the original YB200 belt. It also has the exclusive white Cosworth YB timing belt part marking, so it looks just like the original part. After all, if it says Cosworth on the engine, make sure it says Cosworth in the engine!
