Buying engine components online can be a tricky task. Most of us like to be able to pick a part up and have a good look at it before we commit to buying it. And then there is always the worry that if we order something it might be the wrong part, or we might never receive it. That’s why we’ve tried to include as much information as possible about each part that we sell on each product page. We’ve also compiled a list of the standard questions here on this FAQ page along with answers.

Parts Questions

Are your parts genuine Cosworth?

Mostly yes! We are Cosworth’s official exclusive distributor for many of their historic engine projects like the BD and YB. That means that we can supply parts directly from Cosworth. When they don’t have it in stock, with their approval we source the parts directly from their suppliers.

The only exceptions are parts that we have reverse engineered from original Cosworth drawings and then developed with changes like improved materials.

Where are your parts manufactured?

Where possible we use the same source that Cosworth would have used.

The majority of our parts are manufactured by the original suppliers. When this isn’t possible, we will use a Cosworth-approved supplier. On the whole, our parts are manufactured in the UK and Europe.

The part I want isn’t listed on your website, can I still buy it?

Payment Questions

Do I have to order from your website?

No, we can email you an invoice if you prefer. If you’d prefer to do this then just send us a message on our Contact Us page.

What are your payment methods?

When ordering online we accept Paypal and card payments (Visa and Mastercard). You don’t need a Paypal account to pay by card, you should be able to pay as a guest. If you are having trouble making the payment then please get in touch.

Can I pay over the phone?

Unfortunately no. For security reasons we never take customers’ card details. We can only take payments by bank transfer or on-line via Paypal, Visa and Mastercard.

If I’m located outside of the UK then do I have to pay taxes?

Yes, any taxes will have to be paid to the courier. The amount to pay will be determined by your country’s VAT rate. Note that for purchases in the UK we will automatically add 20% VAT.

Delivery Questions

How long will it take to deliver my order?

If we have the part in stock then we aim to dispatch orders within two working days from receipt of your payment. Sometimes this isn’t possible, in which case we will let you know by email as soon as possible.

Normally our UK deliveries take one to two working days. Deliveries outside of the UK normally take three to four working days.

What couriers do you use?

We use DHL for the majority of our deliveries, both within the UK and internationally. All of our DHL deliveries are tracked, and we will email you the tracking details as soon as we receive them from DHL.

Can I collect my parts?

No, all of our orders are delivery only.

Returns Questions

Can I cancel my order?

For parts that we hold in stock, then yes, you can cancel your order right up to the point that we dispatch your parts. We will issue you a full refund through the method that you paid us. If we’ve had to manufacture your parts specifically for you then please see our terms and conditions.

What is your returns policy?

As long as you haven’t fitted the part or run it, and it’s not a custom-made part, we offer a 30 day money back guarantee. All you have to do is get in touch via our Contact Us page and we’ll give you instructions on where to return the part to.

Once we’ve received the part we will refund you the price that you paid for the part, via the same method that you paid us. Unfortunately we are unable to refund delivery costs or any local taxes that you’ve paid (except for UK VAT).

There is a problem with a part that I bought, what do I do?

If you find a problem with one of our parts then please get in touch straightaway via our Contact Us page and we will do our very best to resolve the issue.

Where are you based?

We are located about 2 miles from Cosworth’s HQ in Northampton, UK.

How do I speak to someone?

Just send us a message on our Contact Us page with your phone number and we will call you back as soon as possible.

Why don’t you list your phone number or address?

We don’t list a phone number on our website as we would be deluged with spam phone calls. We normally communicate by email, but if you would prefer to talk to us then just send us a message on our Contact Us page with your phone number and we will call you back.

We don’t list our address as we don’t have a physical store, and for security reasons we’d prefer not to give out the address where our parts are stored!
